OBSERVATIONS AT KAISER PERMANENTE
1) There was a guy in a Georgetown University Maintenance shirt. So much for employees’ getting care at the hospital there.
2) The woman who did my intake told me she sometimes works 12 hours a day, can’t afford to pay this month’s power bill, and can’t afford a landline phone or home internet access. Gee, I wonder where those $300+ dollar premiums are going?
3) A woman came out of the radiology department limping. This was a staff member, not a patient.
