PUTTING IT INTO PERSPECTIVE

First Mom tells me about the muder-suicide in Falls Church (see yesterday)

Then I get to work and feel a strong compulsion to act out violently against three asshole co-workers, the worst offender being the one who threw out my dinner before I got a chance to eat it.

Shortly after that I find out the 14-year-old daughter of a high school classmate was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. To make it worse she has developed temporary diabetes from the steroid treatment and has had a huge amount of necrotic tissue removed from her nasal cavity.

Kind of puts it all into perspective.
