I am fighting it. I coughed into the phone while talking to a voice response system and the automated voice said "sorry, we did not recognize that response." Same thing happened about a year ago when I greeted a co-worker who just happened to be walking by.

Saw Septime Webre's Nutcracker Suite at the Warner last night. Sugarplum fairies are overrated. Couldn't help missing the Freudian implications. I should read it in German.

Dow closed up over 12 thousand, weather mostly sunny but getting colder. In a few days it will get darker on minute later every day, which is good.

Cold weather makes it hard to get things done -- I come home at night freezing and it takes a lot to get warm, even under the covers. Gas was $3.19/gallon in Linthicum, maybe even lower.
